Want to Exude Confidence on Camera? We’ll show you how…

August 12, 2019

Does the thought of talking on camera make you cry on the inside?

If so, having some great supporters on your video production team will help. It’s Little Ox’s job to make you look and sound your very best.

You already have an amazing story to share. But you don’t have to have it perfect the first time. The beauty of most video production is that it is recorded – not live!

Mistakes will happen. You will stumble over words. (Everyone does, even the “pros”.) That’s why we do retakes. Plus, your Little Ox team will edit, edit, edit until we have the best version of you sharing your most compelling and important thoughts.

Worried about forgetting what you meant to say on camera?

Not a problem! You are passionate about what you do. That is the most important thing to remember. You don’t have to memorize anything. By speaking from your heart, you will tell a story that is meaningful to you and interesting for your audience.

Nervous about how you will look on camera?

Don’t be. When you work with Little Ox, we use lights, camera angles and plenty of simple tricks (adjusting hair, clothes, jewelry and more) to ensure you look great. We control the details so you don’t have to worry about anything other than being yourself.

Having said all that, here are three great tips for you:

  • They call it ‘short and sweet’ for a reason. Drive to make a point instead of continuous talking and filling space.
  • JBG (Just Be Genuine). It’s the best way to engage your audience. Speak from your heart and forget about memorizing lines.
  • Be kind to yourself. If you go in thinking “I am not good on camera” then you will likely fulfill your own prophecy.

If you are nervous, that’s a good sign. It means you care about what you are doing – and so do we. At Little Ox Film Company we specialize in making you look and sound your best.
